Great weekend in BSO where all the best Swedish (and Danish players in U11/U13) were gathered. We had 7 players competing and it resulted in 2x and 3x.
In U13 @emilia_isberg played great with a new partner and they were sooo close to beat the highest seeded pair. A bronze medal and good performance by Emilia.
In U15 unfortunately @mohana_lind19 got injured in her first match and had to withdraw. @kevin_huang09 plays as first year in an age group that is highly competitive but managed to get a win in doubles and really pushed one of the high ranked players in one of his singles.
In U17 we had 4 players and all got to step on the podium Marcus played MJT which proved one level too easy for him as he didn’t drop a single set in the tournament. He was also very close to get a semifinal in doubles in SJT. @elinfagerbeerg played some really good doubles with her new partner and reached the semifinals.
The biggest success came in MSU17 SJT where we had both @leon__fritz and @neo.astrand1
Singles U17 is very competitive with lots of good players and both of our boys managed to reach semifinals where they had to play against each other. Possibly the match with the longest rallies, all categories and all age groups, ended with a close 2 set win for Leon after 56(!) minutes Leon then went on to win his first SJT title after another very well played final
I ( @dewaalbadminton ) was there the whole weekend and I have to say I am very proud of the players. The results, performances and the development is fantastic. These weekends make me very happy as a badminton coach
